New Port Richey Fishing Charter Report 1/1/25-1/5/25
January 1st - 5th, the cooler water started to move in. On the morning of New Year’s day, the water temperature was 70 degrees. By the end of the day on January 5th, it was 65 degrees. The Trout were hit or miss at the rockpiles the entire first week of January but the sheepshead were pretty much everywhere. Redfish and black drum were present on almost every trip deep back in the neighborhood. After 8 trips in 5 days, Fat Foam needed some work on the bilge pumps, bait pumps, and a good cleaning to get ready for more charters this month. New Port Richey Fishing Report 9/21/24
September 21st, I took out Mike and Oliver to chase after Oliver's first snook and first redfish. After getting into the first creek at dead high tide, we caught his first redfish on cut pinfish and continued to catch redfish on live bait in the creek for the first hour of the trip. He even got his biggest Redfish at 23 inches. After that, we fished a deeper pocket cut in the mangroves with live greenbacks and caught his first snook and snapper. We finished out the trip with cut bait missing a few redfish and then catching a baby bull shark. It's safe to say we got Oliver hooked on fishing!
